About Me

I am a dyslexic heterochromatic American descendant of immigrant Irish sheep thieves and I grew up in over a dozen countries and cultures. Painting, since I was in grade school, has been the thread which strung together all other beads and pieces of my life. I have taught, painted and lived -feet on the ground, roots in the soil- in Eugene Oregon for over half my life now. I live in a big house with a fantastic garden, two dogs, a husband, the echoes of my flown children, some yurts and a studio. In the studio I work in oils, acrylics, drypoint, charcoal, woodblock, spherical paintings, sculpture, watercolor, hemispheres and ceramics, but in the end my real passions are drawing, painting and teaching. The pursuit of art and education gives me a life with infinite challenges and constant growth.
